You may register for the IELTS test in person at our office, where we will guide you through the online registration process. We are located at 112 Elizabeth St on the 2nd floor, and we are open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.

To register for the IELTS test in person, you will need the following:

IELTS Essentials Online Account

To register for an IELTS test, you will require an IELTS Essentials account. You may create this account online before coming to our office, or we can help you create one when you arrive.

If you would like to create an account with IELTS Essentials before visiting our office, please visit: https://my.ieltsessentials.com/Candidate/Registration

If you are re-applying for the test and have already created an online account, there is no need to register again, you will be able to log in with your username and password.

If you encounter any difficulties creating your account, please contact us or visit our office for assistance.

Identification

You will require ONE of the following identity documents in order to register for and write the IELTS test:

Identity documents accepted by IELTS:

  • Passport (from any country)
  • Canadian Permanent Resident Card
  • Canadian Refugee Claimant Document

If you have both a passport and a PR card, please choose ONE to register with.

Canadian citizenship cards, driver’s licenses, health cards, or any non-Canadian forms of National ID are NOT acceptable.

When you come to our office, please bring with you your original ID document, we will be able to help you scan and upload it.

Your identity document must be valid at the time of your registration AND on the day of your test. You MUST bring this original document with you on your test day. Without it, you will NOT be permitted to write the test. Do not send your ID away for extensions or any other purposes until AFTER your test. On the day of your test, if you do not have the same original and valid ID you registered with, you will NOT be permitted to write the test and you will NOT be eligible for a test date transfer or refund.

Payment

The price of the IELTS test is $330 CDN for the Paper-based or Computer-Delivered test (HST included).

  • Visa Debit
  • Bank Draft / Money Order (Payable to “IELTS Administrator”)

Personal cheques are NOT accepted.

Once your payment has been accepted, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

Please note: We are not able to accept payment for IELTS test fees by debit/INTERAC at this time, both online and at our office. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We will update our website when this changes.

Institution Addresses

If you would like to send your IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) to any organisations (academic institutions/government agencies/professional bodies), please bring the addresses with you to our office. If you have a file/case number, you may include it, but this is optional.

Please note that organisations listed at the time of your application may access your results before you have received or viewed them. If you would like to see your results first before deciding where to send them, you may make this request later by filling out these forms.

If you are requesting an additional copy of your results for Canadian immigration purposes, the extra copy will be given to you directly. You may request this extra copy at the time of application, or after you have received your results.

For every additional copy of your results requested, at any time and for any purpose, a $20 CDN (HST included) administrative fee will apply, but no postage will be charged. The same $20 fee will apply for any results sent electronically. Your results will be posted by Canada Post regular mail unless you update to courier (express) service for faster delivery, an additional charge will apply.
